hi, i am trying to configure sportspress at the moment. this is for Ice hockey. my questions is is there a way to split the GP(games played) count so it only recognizes a specific position being played.

For example i have player who play multiple positions like Goalie, forward or defense. the issue i am having is if a player is recorded as playing 2 games of goalie and 3 games of forward, his GP will be 5 when i only want it to show 2 or 3 respectively. the problem with it is other stats are effected. PPG(points per game) is reflected on 5 GP Instead of 3 GP. or the goalies GAA (goals against average) is reflected by 5 GP when he only played 2 in goal. same deal for forwards compared to defense. i am unable to separate the positions statistically.

    Hi!

For that you’ll need to add new statistics for each position. So for example instead of simply adding “appearances” you’d add goalie appearances, forward appearances and so on. THis way you’d have separated metrics for each postion

    Kind Regards,

ok, by appearances do you mean create a copy of each player? like instead of a player A being all 3 pos, i make 3 copies of player A. One G, one D and one F?

    Hi!

No, no, Check under SportsPress configure. There you can set the different stats for the different appearances. SO each player would have 3 fields for appearances.
