Replicate Main Events Page, but with Category Set?

    I’d like to replicate the main events display but with a specific category pre-set. Is there a way to do this? When I try to display a list of events within a specific category, it outputs in a simple list format and I’d like it to look exactly like the main events page.

    Or, alternatively, is there a way to set a link to the main events page with a category “pre-loaded”?

    Using this in any page should work, where 123 is the category ID of the category you want to show:

    [events_list category="123"]

    caimin, how do I get the search / sort on the default list onto that page?
