    Hello everyone,
I bought my domain name on gandi.net yesterday and chose Hostgator as my hosting company.
I used the one-click WordPress installation on Plesk, but when I try to access wordpress login by going to https://trisuns.net/wordpress/wp-login.php on my browser, it shows me the default gandi page saying the domain name is registered on gandi.net
I need to access my WP dashboard and get started with the web design ASAP.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance.

  • You can manually upload the wordpress folder(fresh files from wordpress) to the domain or sub-domain where you want to work on.Before installation you have to create database as statndars for the installation of WordPress.

Yes, I followed those steps before I used the One-click installation. Created the database, modified the web config file. And had the same problem.

So I deleted the wordpress folder, deleted the databases and tried one click installation and had the same issue.

Could it be because I didn’t link my Domain’s DNS to my hosting?
I just added gandi’s DNS to my plesk DNS settings, but I heard it takes up to 24 hours to fully update.

    Any other suggestions?

First you have to add Index.php file where you had the wordpress folder and put some “Hello” Message in it, so we can sure that this index file is accessible or not.

    Hi onokomta,

The thing that seems to be causing you not to be able to access your WordPress installation is that your web server is on HostGator and the domain is not yet pointing to the HostGator account. Below is a link that shows you how to point your domain to your hosting account (HostGator). I don’t really use Gandi.net to register domains but sometimes it takes a little bit for the DNS settings to refresh and point to the host. Hope this helps.

Just easy uninstall wordpress through easy uninstall and reinstall in public_html folder.

    Thanks everyone!
And yes, it was because i didn’t point my domain name to my hosting account.
I pointed it out, and i’m able to access my wordpress login.
    Thank you so much!
