Hey there and thank you for this theme!! I really love it.

I’m trying to make the entire Services Div to be a link.

I’d like to modify the fp-services-type-a.php to add the link.

When I put this file in my child-theme, it will not overwrite the parent theme file.

I have tried 2 ways: 1. Using the same folder directory as the parent
and 2. Placing the revised file in the root of the child theme.

I have searched high and low and can’t find out why my child theme isn’t overriding the parent file with the file in my child theme.

is there a specific function that i need to add to my child theme function.php that will override the parent file with my new/revised file?

    Hi bjbowen,

    Thank you for contacting us!

There are no any special functions that you need to add for fp-services-type-a.php .I’m afraid that child themes have their limits and you just bump into one. You may want to write new custom function into the child theme that will add a link where you need it.

    I hope it helps.

    Regards.

yes, I’d like to add a button at the bottom of each service, not just one button for all services.

some child themes don’t have a problem seeing the file if the directory structure is the same. Not sure why this is not working with VerySimpleStart when it works with others.
