In regard to the latest update of CF7, it would be nice if from within the plugin settings to disable the validation error messages. I do understand the errors, however, I do not have an issue with the hosting company I use. The issue I have is that I have a handful of sites using CF7 operated by customers who wonder what is wrong their site. It is important to note that although I get error messages CF7 works just fine.

I really hate the idea of having to edit all of my sites’ wp-config files to dismiss the error messages.

Even if you don’t have any issues with the hosting company at this moment, it’s possible that the host changes their policy in the future. You will see mail through your contact forms suddenly stop and customers get mad at you. I’d think it’s not a bad idea to follow the advice the error gives before it’s too late.

    Maybe reading this would help.

I guess the big question is the “reply to” feature in using “From” field. Placing your own email address in the “From” field does not offer a convenient reply to in the email received.

So I gather from the link you provided I can add “Reply-To: [your-email]” in the “Additional” field, and when “replying to” via an email client the correct address will be inserted into the client’s reply field. And that does does work, so perhaps to mitigate confusion the default should have “Reply-To: [your-email]” in the “Additional” field and removed form the “From” field.

Then have a default for the “From” field something like “Enter your own name” <Enter an email address from this site’s domain>.

Now for the “Subject” field. I did the following: “[your-subject] / TWN” (without the quotes), and it passed the validation. And it added the ” / TWN” to the header area but not the message area, which is fine. Of course, the addition does not have to be what I added.

I would like to thank you Takayuki for your quick response.
