    02/28/26? The placeholder wants a date format like: 2026-02-28

    That was a typo. It has the proper date format of 2016-02-28 and the date was entered using the date picker built into woocommerce.

    This is the way it looks in the backend setup of the product and on the front end.

    I assume saving has no effect? The ‘price’ should be set to regular price if the sale date has not set passed. I don’t see to have this problem on localhost.

    No effect. The price shows correctly, the sale tag just shows even though the sale date has not yet been reached. You can see it here:
