BuddyPress Groups Integration

    Hi,

    First of all, this appears to be the best chat plugin available… free or paid. I recently paid for a chat plugin that worked with BuddyPress groups but it performed very poorly so I found this one.

    Would it be possible to integrate this with BuddyPress groups where the group admins(s) can enable/disable the chat plugin for their group. They would also have moderator abilities (kick, ban) for their channel.

    I think it would be fairly simple to add a new BuddyPress group page with the chat but I do not know how to give the group admins moderator abilities.

    Would also be neat to provide custom emoji.

    Ok, I created a very simple plugin to dynamically create and add Wise Chat to BuddyPress groups: https://github.com/gil–/bp-wisechat

    Still not sure if it will be possible to grant Group admins the ability to remove chat messages and ban users.

    Hi,

    thank you very much for your plugin! BuddyPress integration is a feature that I planned for one of the future versions. First I would need to gather requirements for such integration and your post here is very helpful.

    As for the custom emoticons I’m going to add an option for it.

    BuddyPress integration are now available in Wise Chat Pro. You can use the following features:
    – enable / disable the chat for BuddyPress groups
    – configure tab name and position within the group
    – give chat moderation rights to group mods and admins
    – detailed shortcode-like configuration
