nofollow internal links

    Hi. We are using All in One SEO but having trouble with negative points on onpage.org for internal nofollow links that appear to be leading from a page to itself. I have no idea how this is occurring. We did move the site last fall and I have 301 redirects for individual posts and pages from firstdomain.com/subdirectory/link to seconddomain.com/link but I can’t figure out why that could create these errors.

    We’re trying to decide whether to stay with All in One or move to Yoast – the theme developer only supports Yoast but surely there’s a way to manage this globally in AOSEO? The settings for the problem pages and posts do NOT have no-follow checked active.

    We do not do any redirection or nofollow of internal links in All in One SEO Pack.

    Make sure you check that report carefully as these could be false positives.

    Hi, Steve. Thanks. They do look funny to me because the links look identical. The theme developer can’t see any reason for them and All in One SEO doesn’t do that so I’m just not sure where they could be coming from and I can not see where I might control it, see how it’s caused or even find any references to it to read up and investigate. Saying ‘ignore it’ is a hard answer to give a client – would like to have a bit more information but don’t know where to get it.

    If the source and destination URLs are the same then they are false positives. If you want help, contact OnPage. They are in the business of getting you to pay them money for SEO so they’ll generate a report and try to get you to pay for them to fix the issues. We recommend you use Google Webmaster Tools instead.
