Images on blog not showing up

  • Help! Over the past few days I’m having several issues with images not showing up in my blog posts. I haven’t changed anything in any settings that I’m aware of.

    When I look at my homepage (above), the featured image for the first post is not showing up for me. However, when I click on that post, the image does show up.

    I’m not sure if you can see posts I haven’t yet published, but if so —

    In this post, the images show up when I compose the post, but when I preview it, again, no images. This is happening now in any post I try to compose.

    I tried composing a post in the “brand new editor on wordpress.com”, as suggested, but then I get the message “There was an error retrieving your site settings.
    Make sure your Jetpack is up to date”. I have jetpack 3.9.1 — I think it’s up to date.

    Any suggestions?

    Since I’m noticing a few others with similar issues, I’m wondering if WP is having some problems with images? If so, is there a place to check for known issues and possible solutions?

    I’m using the Pluto theme.
