• Hi there – the copy coming up on Banner section which I’ve currently placed on the homepage is coming up quite obviously pixilated, which is making it look ugly.

    I’ve tried changing its style and size but they all look terrible and out of sync with rest of the site.

    Is there an option to choose another font for this section under the free Make theme?

    Thanks

    MS

    Hi Mark,

    All I’m able to see is a coming soon page. Can you share a link to the page in question?

    Hi – maintenance mode is on.. Can I send you a screengrab instead perhaps?

    Sure. Just upload it to dropbox or something and share the link.

    Hi – I’ve played around with various text options (size, header style, etc) in the Banner section and all are very disappointing: very pixilated and strangely aligned.

    Qs:
    How do we fix this pixilation issue?
    Is it possible to change font in this section on the free theme?
    Can we change alignment to centre?

    See link here for images: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3roor8hhysmmmry/AADNi1S0UO1MIZeQaYZeU-0la?dl=0

    Thanks so much!

    Hi, there. Jumping in on this thread. I don’t see pixellation; I think it’s the drop shadow you are seeing, Mark. I personally don’t like it either. (I have a quote in a banner section on my site.) Maybe it’s a setting within the banner we can adjust? About the alignment, I think the spacing might have to do with the padding of the banner. I adjusted my height until the text was centered how I wanted it. Not sure if that’s the correct way to go about it or if it’s what I like to refer to as “faking it”, so I’m looking forward to answers to Mark’s questions as well.

    Yes! There is a drop shadow on the banner section text — this is because the section was designed to have text appear over an image.

    If you want to alter this, you can add this CSS snippet to your child theme:

    .builder-banner-content {
        text-shadow: 0;
    }

    As for the other two questions – you can alter the fonts of the text headers, but not on a per-section basis unless you edit the CSS.

    And with the font alignment, yes, you can change the padding in the section, just be aware of the implications this has on mobile rendering.
