Plugin not working in new template

    I rebuilt a library’s website using a new template. https://www.carnegiecarnegie.org

    We had always had the Java script for the library system’s catalog searches in a widget in the sidebar and began using this plugin when it became available.

    The title text, text box and button appear for the plugin, but you can’t type into the text box.

    I have tried deleting the cache, deleting and reloading the plugin, using it on different computers, devices, operating systems and browsers, and it will not work on this site.

    I also loaded the plugin to one of my own WordPress sites also using 4.4.2 and set up the widget with the Javascript, and it works fine.

    I can only think it’s the template, but before I ask for help on that end I want to see if you can offer any solutions.
