    hi,

I’m pretty new to WP. I just installed 4.4.2 and trying to log on to admin page for the first time but I am getting a blank page. But the homepage seems to be working.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thanks Tara for the reply. I tried both your suggestions but it is still the same ?? When I rename the current theme folder the site also shows a blank page.

There is an older installation of another site on the same server account and that seems to be working fine. That is running the older WP version 4.2.1.

Disable or Remove all Plugin from CPANLE AND THEN ACCESS WP-ADMIN it will work.

And enable plugin one by one to find which plugin is creating issue

I reinstalled WordPress with the default theme. I’m still facing the same problem ??

Update : I managed to solve the problem.

I had 3 installations of WP on my web space for 3 separate domains. One was working and with the other 2 I had the problem described above. I tried everything including resetting plugins to reinstalling WP, but nothing worked. Then I realized that the 2 installations that were not working had the same admin name and same password. I changed the pass words using phpmyadmin and then it started working. I still have the same user name but different passwords.
