As an alternative you can use the Cart links for WooCommerce plugin and replace add-to-cart with fill_cart. That will prevent re-adding an item that is already in the cart.

I don’t understant how replacing the add-to-cart with fill_cart will prevent re-adding an item. The problem is the redirect I mentioned, so If the url will be
https://successgoose.com/cart/?fill_card=1386&apply_coupon=bonusguide1386

and still redirect to
https://successgoose.com/cart/?add-to-cart=1386

How does that solves the issue?
Also, this redirect slows the page load a lot which is another problem.

Just try, the fill_cart inhibits adding items that are already in the cart. The redirect won′t go to add-to-cart=1386, but fill_cart=1386

So you will have to use this link: https://successgoose.com/cart/?fill_cart=1386&apply_coupon=bonusguide1386

It solved the error message as you said.
It now redirect from
https://successgoose.com/cart/?fill_cart=1386&apply_coupon=bonusguide1386
to
https://successgoose.com/cart/

I hope you can find out why this redirect happens and how to eliminate it, so that it will not slow down the page load.

Hi.

I’m having the issue where more than one item is added to the basket/cart when the coupon URL is used:

https://johnclearyphotography.co.uk/basket?add-to-cart=4327&apply_coupon=katcle50

I’ve tried changing the URL to https://johnclearyphotography.co.uk/basket?fill_cart=4327&apply_coupon=katcle50

But this adds nothing to the cart…..am I doing something wrong?

you would need the Cart links for WooCommerce-plugin plugin for that.

The add-to-cart problem should be fixed in WooCommerce Extended Coupon Features 2.3.2. Although I suggest using the fill_cart URL using the Cart links for WooCommerce-plugin as it prevents double adding products when user clicks the url twice.
