Best way to have two ‘pages’ with different posts

Hi there,

I’m developing a website with a portfolio, about and blog sections. I’m used to WordPress but lately I’ve been using Textpattern for most of my projects.

I plan on developing the portfolio section as a category with all the projects as posts filled under the ‘portfolio’ category. Same thing for the blog.

My question: is this the best way to do it? Being used to Textpattern, I miss something that would allow me to create a section to which posts would be posted to – like you do in Textpattern. I’m not that sure that categories are the best way to *structure* a website instead of simply categorizing it.
