    Hello!

please, i’m needing some help with the site i’ve been building.

I’ve change whats necessary in the SQL, change the URL in the Option painel, and change the localhost to the webserver, everything, absolute everything is function well but not the Upload command in the Wiki painel.

when i try to upload an archive, it shows this message:

“The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/petarq/petarq/www/wp-content/uploads/2008/02.
    WordPress
    91″

humm.. and I don’t really understand why, when the route should be something like:

    https://mydomain/petarq/wp-content/uploads/2008/02
i apreciate your help, sorry for the bad english.

P.S. I have already search for other topics, but I haven’t found the solution for exactly this error.

    Nicolás

  • If you still need it, I used to have this problem when moving from temporary url to live url.
Try following these instructions to update uploads in the database:
    https://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/10/01/how-to-move-wordpress-blog-to-new-domain-or-location/

    Hi there Ynotweb…

I read through the link. I don’t see anything that touches on this. It seems that the things it does suggest are geared more for someone who has moved to a new url.

    Maybe I am missing something?

You mentioned that you also had this problem. Did you notice it when you first started writing/posting items?

Or did you notice it after you moved?

By the way, thanks for responding.

my apologies for the delay. silly me thought wordpress forum would actually notify me of replies…

Yes, I noticed the problem after a move, and haven’t had the problem since I started using the how-to-move instructions for any websites I set up. But perhaps it is a different problem for you, if you hanve’t changed URLs or subdirectories for you install.
