How do I keep my original HTML website going while converting articles to WordPress. I thought about install WordPress on my computer, convert my website there, then installing it to the web server but I can’t find an article to help me with that. Whats the solution.

Uh, there’s really no simple answer; especially since I can’t find a link to your current site. Is it a static HTML page? Is there dynamic content? Either way your best bet is to develop your WordPress design locally on your computer and then upload it to your server. Downtime should be minimal.

There are things you can do to make the switch almost instantaneous but they’re a little more complicated than I can explain here.
