Warning appears on page after upgrade to WP 4.4.2

What makes you think this is related to this plugin? Does the page in question have a YouTube video embedded on it using our shortcode? Could you provide a link to the page with the error on?

A quick Google of the error shows other users with the same error. It appears to be related, as you say, to WP 4.4.2. Can you provide me with a link to the page where the error appears?

The error goes away when I remove the plugin. This isn’t the only place it is giving the error. If I log out of the dashboard with the plugin active I get the below string of errors, I can only log back in if I deactivate the plugin:

In Admin can you go into YouTube Embed -> General Settings. What is the Alternative Shortcode field set to?

It is set to ‘Array’

A-ha, as I thought, that’s the cause.

Please type into this field ‘youtube_video’ (without the quotes) and then click on “Save Changes”. Does this get rid of the error?

Brilliant! Thanks for confirming that for me. I now need to get to the bottom to why this has happened in the first place – as soon as I can work it out and apply a fix, I’ll release a small update to the plugin.

I’ve just pushed out version 4.3.1 which should resolve this issue for anybody else experiencing it.
