Mesocolumn update issues (2)

    Richie, my website just disappeared after the update.

    The dashboard was still there, but the website was just blank.

    I use a child-theme, and I have copied the not updated theme from another website. It worked, so I got my website back (without the page colors but this is not a problem). But I’d like to know what may have happened and may be able to use the last update.

    Any clue? Didi it happened to anyone else using mesocolumn-child?

    what version of wp you using? v1.6.5.1 had get_site_icon_url() which only exist in wp 4.3+ so it might trigged the function error white screen.

    if you had ‘left sidebar’ added using the faq method in site, you might need to download the zip again and re-add the updated code.

    get_theme_option() is deprecated and replace with get_theme_mod()

    So, my version of WP is 4.4.2. I use only right side bar (https://celestialchart.com).

    It may be an issue with some plugin?

    Is there anyone using this child theme with this new version of Mesocolumn?

    If so, what would be the header of the necessary files on the child theme folder? Maybe that’s my problem.

    Hello wpleo,
    My blog has also deseappeared. I was using an old version of Mesocolumn with a child theme.
    Now I found that the theme has been updated automatically, it could cause the issue.
    I have activated a default theme and the content shows up.

    I’ve made a lot of customisation in this child theme so now I suppose that I have to make a choice to get my blog back.

    Any idea?

    I had fixed the issue, downgrading to the older version of the theme, but now it was upgraded automatically.
