XP and Money Feature

I’m trying to add some RPG elements to my WordPress site. When a person posts, I would like for them to receive 1 XP and 1 Credit. My knowledge of PHP is nonexistent but I think I would need to create a variable to store XP and Money data in and then call it in various spots on the website, like on the profile page or below the username in the forums.

Any ideas?
