How to stop 'Contact Form 7' transferring data to Google Analytics

  • Hi folks. I don’t want Google to have any information about my site (I don’t want/need it to be indexed) and I don’t want/need Google Analytics.

    I just installed ‘Contact Form 7’ and created and edited a form nicely. But when my page loads I see at the bottom of the screen (in Firefox)
    transferring data from ssl.google-anaytics.com

    This transfer lasts from 3 to 12 seconds, so is massively slowing down the load of my page … and I don’t want the feature anyway.

    How cam I stop this from happening? I can’t find any setting with the Contact 7 software.

    I only have these plugins activated on this WordPress site:
    Clef
    Go Daddy Quick Setup
    Gravity Forms
    Limit Login Attempts

    Come to think about it I’d be happy to get rid of the first two since I never use them!

    UPDATE.

    Hi people. I have just deactivated the two plugins I don’t care about:
    Clef
    Go Daddy Quick Setup

    Same issue is occurring, ie not fixed.

    Can I see the site?

    Sounds like there is a setting in your theme that is causing the communication with Google… If there was any comms going on from your site during a page load, it should only be downloading fonts from Google…

    Really sounds like your theme has some presets though causing this…

    Hi Thanewest. I havent’ been able to work out what is doing this, so I will install ‘Spyder Spanker’ – hopefully that will stop the communication.
