• Hi,

    My site is: https://nest-expressed.com

Some of my frequent commenters have suddenly become unable to comment on my latest post. They receive the following error:

    https://gyazo.com/cdfc4a550ffbd76dbb6ccd65e4ecbfad

I have been able to fix the issue by deactivating Jetpack Comments. However, when Jetpack Comments plugin is activated again, the problem returns.

It appears that there’s some sort of security conflict with users who are logged in using their WordPress credentials.

When I asked for support from the Jetpack author whether any recent changes happened to Jetpack Comments, he said:

“I’m afraid not. The comment form lives in an iFrame, and we haven’t made any changes to that code in a while.

As I mentioned earlier, the problem is caused by a custom security rule triggered when your readers try to leave a comment. That rule is handled by your server.”

Could this be related to some of the permissions set by iThemes Security?

    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

Yes, it could be. Could be a nginx related issue as your website seems to be running on nginx.

Temporarily comment the iTSec nginx.conf include line in the nginx.conf file. And then see whether it makes any difference.

Also check whether the Banned Users HackRepair.com’s blacklist is enabled.
And check which System Tweaks and WordPress Tweaks settings are enabled.
