Website on one domain blog on another.

  • I have a question:
    Let’s say you own “www.example.com” and that’s where your main website is. BUT you want the blog portion of your website to be on “blog.example.com”. How would you do this in WordPress?

  • blog.example.com usually points to example.com/blog and is set up using your DNS zone editor. If you do not know how to do this, or do not have access to your DNS, you can talk to your hosting company. WordPress MU sites using *.example.com which is called wildcarded DNS and lets you assign any subdomain you want in php code.
