Hi, I have been using Simple Staff List for over two years now with little or no problems. However I just noticed recently that there is no option now on the dropdown list in the Wordpess dashboard on my site to add new members. Is there a limited number of people that can be added without buying an upgrade or is this some sort of glitch? Seemed to work fine until I reached 20 people. I wouldn’t have noticed because I haven’t had the reason to add anyone until I had to add myself as a new employee. Now I am unable because there is no way to reach that option. I can edit old information and have control over everything just can’t add anymore people.

    Please help,

    Steve Large – Website admin.

    Hi Steve –
Is the entire ‘Staff Member’ option gone from the sidebar? Or just the ‘Add New’ option?

If it’s just the ‘Add New’ option that is missing, I don’t think the issue would be coming from the plugin. There’s not a paid version of Simple Staff List, so there are no restrictions that we place on creating new staff members. I believe there are some plugins that can limit the number of posts that users can create – used mainly on paid member sites.

Otherwise, I’m not sure what would be causing the issue. What theme are you using? Any membership plugins?

    Hi Brett,
Sorry about that. I delved a bit further into it and found that “Role Scoper” did not allow me to add new members due to some restrictions it had set up. Once I had de-activated it the button re-appeared and I was able to use the option.

    Thanks for your response anyway,

    Steve
