• Hello. I’m looking to use WordPress as the engine for my video website. Each post will contain info about a video, a thumbnail or two, and a download link. I’m trying find PHP scripts that I can call to within my posts that will show the number of times the video has been downloaded, as well as a script that will allow people to rate it (in addition to the normal WP comment feature).
There’s a non-WordPress site that is doing pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. View it here.
I see plug-in(s) allowing this kind of functionality being a big hit for WordPress users. As I’m not a coder, I’m hoping someone out there has some ideas (apart from, “Hey, teach your lazy ass PHP!”)
    Cheers!

  • A non-WP site which I came across the other day, has a good method of monitoring downloads. I have no idea at all what language it is, but maybe it’s useful. They are very helpful guys though, so they’ll probably let you know how they do it.

(And while you are there, grab a copy of XOR – superb game).

2 years old I know, just kicking it out of the “no-replies” section.. It still *might be* useful ya know.. =P

/Closed because of how old it is, anyone needing to ask questions or whatever, can ask the original author at the site link above!
