FB count not showing correctly

Hi Ofir,

It seems u have pretty visited site and this issue is most probably due to to many requests you had, after which facebook bans new requests for couple of hours. There is soft limit which can be lifted by registering app and passing secret key during reqests.

Ill see how to fix this up or write you tutorial here.

i see icons on that page just fine.

As for first problem:

Edit plugin, you can do so via wordpress plugin editor or download find file then edit, file is class-sb-bar-social.php inside includes folder.

find line:

$response = wp_remote_get('https://graph.facebook.com/?id=' . $this->current_url,array('timeout'=>20));

change to 

		$response = wp_remote_get('https://graph.facebook.com/?id=' . $this->current_url.'&access_token=ADD_APP_TOKEN',array('timeout'=>20));

thats it.

Get app token here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/accesstoken/

I also see the buttons now, strange that they didn’t appear before.
I created the change you stated is there any way for you to see if I did it ok?

we can wait one day and see how it goes, you should be able to get all share counts.

You can test if it is ok by opening some url like this:

https://graph.facebook.com/?id=https://99bitcoins.com/complete-beginners-guide-make-money-bitcoin-faucet/&access_token=ADD_APP_TOKEN_HERE

if it shows number of shares, you have it correctly.

also one correction, it must be https, not http like i wrote above.

i see that post has counts now, so all fixed?

Apparently it still works intermittently. Not sure if the App token took care of anything

Not sure if you’ve noticed my last post or not but it still doesn’t work now even after I added the code and the app token. Any other ideas?
