  • Hi,

It seems that you did not authorize app, please click on “Follow this link to authorize this app to post to Twitter.”
Go into your WP Admin Dashboard > Events > Settings > Add-ons > Twitter and authorize your Twitter application.

    Hi Benjamin,

    Thanks for your quick response.

I had in fact authorized the app, but to be sure I’ve done it again and still don’t see any “Post to Twitter button in the event editor. Where on the edit page should I be looking? Can you post a screen shot someplace?

I went to Twitter, deleted the app, and repeated the entire process. That seems to have resolved it. I now see a “Post Event to Twitter” tick box (not button) at the bottom of the publish box in the upper right hand corner of the edit event page for events. Here’s a screenshot. I assume that is it, though I’ve not seen anything Tweet yet.

Well, the button is there, but posts are not going to twitter. I have tried created a number of new events and ticking the box, posting the events well in advance of the 15 minute time fram I’ve set for the tweet (by entering that many seconds as the parameter in the setup dialog). No joy. Suggestions on what to check would be welcome. I have the URL set to the page where our calendar appears (via shortcode). Does it need to be set to some other page?

    Hi,

Sorry for not replying sooner. Do you still have an issue with this feature? If so, please install Advanced Cron Manager plugin and see what tasks are queued to run. The task that sends events to Twitter is called ai1ec_send_twitter_messages.
