    Hi,

I’m opening this thread because i’m very desperate and i can’t seem to find a solution otherwise. so please bear with me.

I’ve got to work on this site The site which is running Flatsome theme. i’ve updated both woocommerce and flatsome to it’s newest versions. (woocommerce 2.5 and flatsome Version: 2.8.1)
and the site works perfectly, except for the mini cart. when an item is added it registers in the mini cart. but thereafter any addition or removal of items are not shown in the mini cart. in layman’s terms it freezes! even when the cart is cleared it will show the same initial product(s) added.

Tried disabling all plugins including W3C total cache and still no luck?

Can someone please help me? Pretty please?

PS – If you reload the site while this issue is happening, you can see for a brief moment the actual cart value is there in the mini cart, but it resets back to a wrong value when the site is fully loaded. i believe this is caused by a cookie issue but i don’t know where to start .

    The cookies are not updating.

    1. You should see if with the default WP theme and a mini-cart widget it exhibits the save behaviour.
    2. If it doesn’t you know the theme is affecting it or has a custom mini cart
    3. If it does, it will be a caching issue. Experiment with w3 total cache, check htaccess, see if there is server caching such as varnish

    Hi Mike,

Thank you very much for the breeze reply!
1 – Yes, even changing to Storefront or Twenty fourteen doesn’t change the mini cart glitch. so 2 is not applicable.
3 – Talked to bluehost. and ofcourse they had varnish. Disabled it and Bamm! it’s fixed!
I can’t say how grateful i am. Thank a ton mike.

is there another way to do this? Does anybody know the cookie names used to store stuff in the cart? These cookies could then be ignored in caching which hopefully would mean you could have server caching and varnish turned on again. The same issue occurs with other caching plugins such as WP Fastest Cache
