I’m new to CiviCRM WordPress Member Sync and I have it installed on a WPMU multi-site install. So I go to the site that actually uses CiviCRM, go to Plugins and the click on the Settings link for CiviCRM WordPress Member Sync, but all that happens is that it just redirects back to the Plugins page. Why would this be happening?

I haven’t seen this before. Is the plugin network activated?

No, it is not. It onluy appears on one of the three websites in the install.

I took this over from some other devs, so I don’t know if that was on purpose or not.

Is it active on the main site or a sub-site?

Okay thanks – I see the same thing now. Thanks for the report.

FWIW, if it’s multisite, then (at present) the settings page will be an item in the network admin settings menu.

I know. That’s what I’m clicking on and it just loops back to plugins as I mentioned earlier.

Oh, wait.I see it now. Just not where I expected it to be located at., Thanks for helping out with that.

I’m looking into this. A quick fix would be to deactivate on the main site and network activate the plugin.

Out of interest, where were you expecting it to be located? It would be good to minimise UI confusion.

I expected it to be in the Settings menu on the left hand side of each page.

FYI, the next release (0.2.7) will be less confusing. When the plugin is network-activated, the settings page will be found in the WordPress Network Admin Settings menu. When activated on a single site, the settings page will be found in the WordPress Admin Settings menu.
