500 Internal Server Error

  • Site was up and running perfectly fine … suddenly it came down and started throwing the error message. Sometime back, i tried installing some plugin … i think that can be the reason but not sure.

    Error Message:
    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Current Situation:
    1. I am not able to login to admin as same is not opening
    2. Site is not opening

    What i have checked:
    1. .htaccess file is fine and is present in the directory
    2. I can’t find any logs in log directory
    3. I can’t find any file/folder missing

    Please guide.
