I’ve had a quick look over the forum and couldn’t find anything so I thought I would create a new topic. I am almost to the point of releasing a theme to the community, which is the current one at “skymonkey.org”. I would really like to get it all finished and released tonight – if possible..

Now I can’t do that until, with your help hopefully, I can figure something out.. =) I want to provide a custom login menu on the theme – rather than the one built around the “li” tag. Is this possible?

I know, technically, I should be using “li” elements for the login menu, but because of inconsistencies with IE, I’ve opted to just “br/” every line in the rest of the theme for the menus. This means everything is lined up nicely, apart from the user menu.

Any ideas for individual functions to call, or another way to do it?

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas and can help me. I have noticed there is a sidebar widget that allows you to log on, without going to the normal login screen.

Would this be a good place to start? I really just want to display the “login” text or “admin” or whatever, in the sidebar as normal, just without the default formatting. I know I can amend the files in the wordpress installation, but I want to keep this all within the theme – if possible.

For a look at the formatting problems I have, go to https://www.skymonkey.org and look at the bottom of the sidebar, on the left.

    Thanks.

Don’t worry – sorted it – my bad.

The wp_register() takes two arguments for the before and after, but defaults to “li”.
