• Hi there,
I am trying to restore several sites to my local computer running MAMP. My backups appear to be completing successfully, but the restore does not appear to complete.

When I hit the restore button, the page updates to display a blank white page with my admin navigation still available on the left-hand side. The restore appears to run for several minutes, but then the website dashboard refreshes to display the message “WordPress 4.4.1 is available! Please update now”. I am running the latest version of the plugin on both the live site and my local site. I have tried down-grading the plugin but am still encountering the same issue. I have tried extending the script times within the advanced portion of the plugin options as well as try alternate zip methods. I have also tried downloading the backed up site and attempted to restore locally…

The log file gets to about 620 KB. Here is what my log file has in it:

I have been successful in using this plugin in this way before. But have had troubles with it for the last couple of months. As I mentioned, this issue is occurring on several sites.

  • mysql extension has been removed from PHP 7 so the only option at this moment is to downgrade to PHP 5.
