Two separate image upload options, only one image sends.

  • Hi, I have added an image upload option with an associated text area to describe the image. I have added a toggle for “upload another image yes/no” which, if yes is selected, a second set of image upload and image description text area is displayed. It is set up so it is one image for each upload button.

    The problem is that when I attache one image to each uploader option (ie two in total) and submit the form, only one image is sent. I double checked and the image upload options are set to attach to mailer.

    Is there any known problem with having more than one image upload (the actual button, not number of images attaching to the indiv upload button) per form?

  • I replicated your functionality and indeed there is something wrong. When allowing multiple, not even in this case (only one button, multiple choice) there are not sent all files uploaded – only the first file from the first field created. Weirldy, when checked the mailer debug, only the second file (from second field) was sent attached to email.

    However, I am not sure this was really intended from the beginning – although checking “attach to mailer” may mean that the file(s) should be attached to an email. But it may be that the field to be attached to (or actually linked in) an email sent from Mailer, which is accomplished correctly each and every time.

    Unfortunately, I did not found anything in the Docs/Videos relating to this “attach to Mailer” functionality. Maybe Devs will shed a light on what this option was supposed to do actually.

    Thanks so much for replicating this and testing it out for me! I also hope I hear from the developers. I don’t mind paying for premium support at all. It is either that or pay for a new licence for Gravity forms. I would prefer to use Caldera but I don’t want to pay for support to find out it that multiple upload buttons aren’t supported yet. I hope to have my site go live next week. : – /
