    Hi, guys!

I know that this problem existed earlier and was fixed about a year ago in previous releases (according to topics here), but I have it on my WP multi-site installation right now.

    I see an error:

“Your browser doesn’t have Silverlight, HTML5, or HTML4 support.”

+ the whole “upload” page looks like a mess – seems like it lacks CSS.

+ I also can’t enter Gallery settings and Other Option – I see only blank page there surrounded by WP interface.

+ I don’t see NGG button in WYSIWYG editor.

Can you please help me to solve it?

Google and internal search didn’t give me any specific solution on it.

I’m using 2.1.23 version of plugin, but I recently upgraded it from version of previous plugin generation (the one with old icon in menu) – maybe it can be a reason?

    Thank you!

@anastasia-che – Please try our external Reset Tool plugin here: https://bitbucket.org/photocrati/nextgen-gallery-reset/get/default.zip

To install and activate, go to Plugins > Add New … Upload Plugin
To use, go to Tools > NextGEN Gallery Reset

We do not offer specific support for the Reset Tool plugin as is but it can help in many circumstances, please let us know if it does.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

    Thank you for your reply.
Sorry, this plugin didn’t fix any of these issues. ??

Can I try anything else here? Maybe I should try to change anything directly in database?

I already tried deactivate-activate all plugins including this one (before I wrote my first post), but nothing changed. ??
Oh, actually one small thing was changed after this action – in section “Add Gallery / Images” instead of seeing just
    https://anastasia-che.com/files/screen1.PNG

    now I see
    https://anastasia-che.com/files/screen2.PNG

Not sure if it makes situation any different though.

@@anastasia-che – Have you tried temporarily switching themes to a default WordPress Twenty series theme? Also, in some cases if you have an index.html file in the root directory of your WordPress installation this error can happen.

    Thanks!

Have you tried temporarily switching themes to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

Yes, I have, I tried it before I started this topic.

I do not have index.html in my website root.

    Thank you. Already done.

I suppose the only option I have is rolling back to previous version of plugin.

Just in case anybody is interested – I rolled back to 1.9.13, everything works perfectly on multisite.

@@anastasia-che – Thanks for the updates but unfortunately we no longer support the NextGEN Legacy versions and do not normally even suggest rolling back to them.

Our apologies for not being able to help you with this, all I can recommend going forward is to update and review with new releases of NextGEN Gallery.

    Hello,

we no longer support the NextGEN Legacy versions and do not normally even suggest rolling back to them.

But you should at least suggest it. ?? Old version is the most stable of all, and if user experiences such unresolved issues, they should better be kept back rather than uninstalling plugin at all. I can’t even imagine how desperate users with similar problems – they must be thinking that it’s impossible to resolve the problem. When you have a large website with tons of customized galleries, it’s a real pain.

I’ve just received your reply to my bug report that you are unable locate the problem because I rolled back. Sorry, but did you expect that I’ll be working with the version which doesn’t work? It’s pretty serious for me, my job depends on it, unfortunately I can’t wait. I had to work with my galleries.

I expected that my report is enough because I saw the note above report form – “this is not a support form”, which implies that original website containing this error is not required, and that I’m just giving you information there. It was never mentioned on that page there I should wait with my issue (And for how long? You actually haven’t even mentioned on this page that this report will be answered!).

Anyway, I hope it will be fixed using old similar cases + my data. I’ll be looking forward to new releases, I really need new features, and before this bug appeared, I was going to update plugin and then to buy a Pro version for my website.

@anastasia-che – I can appreciate your situation but we do not recommend NextGEN Legacy because we do not support it. It may appear to sort out the issue(s) you are seeing but it is not enough as is to fix something in a newer release, especially if we are not able to reproduce it ourselves.

As it is, it would likely be best to carry on this conversation in the Bug Report and/or send us a new one if your next update also does not correct the problem(s) you are seeing on your site currently with NextGEN Gallery.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
