    Hello!

    I have some strange issues with your theme MH Newsdesk lite v1.2.4.

    I’m working on a site not yet released. But I am facing some difficulties.

    * on the front page I have a widget plugin for the most downloaded files. This shows up with a different style on the front page than the sub pages. On the sub pages it shows up with the template styles, but not the front page.

    * some of the sub pages have a slightly different width than the others

    * the search field box also has a different design (no increase in size on hover) on the front page than the rest

    * can’t add any widgets on any of the other sidebar spaces (home 1 – 5)

    * on the front page where the posts are displayed, when you hover over the page title and tag line, there is an underline on hover. But none on the other pages. Can’t fix this with css either.

    I’m also trying to display one of the posts as a welcome to the site post, using a sticky post. But it shows up with a read more button on top. Any way to display the whole top post and not the rest?

    Site is set up with front page to show all posts. Thank you for a great theme!

    thanks for using MH Newsdesk lite and we’re happy that you like the theme.

    You could use tools such as Firebug for example to inspect the elements on your site and see if there is any CSS that is affecting your widget on the front page. It’s very likely that this issue is caused by customizations or other plugins you might have installed.

    Same as above, the theme doesn’t cause these inconsistencies. We can only recommend that you check the code and any plugins you might have installed.

    Please have a look at the instructions in the theme documentation. In order to place widgets on the widgetized front page, you’ll need to create and set a static front page properly.

    We can’t replicate this either. In general there is no underline for the site title and tagline at all defined by the theme. That means we can only recommend that you check your customizations and plugins, as mentioned before.

    Thanks for the reply. The site was set up wrong. As soon I the site was set up correctly, everything was working fine. I guess I did not read the documentation properly. Thanks for your help ??
