Referral Spam, How to Block

Depending on the type of referer spam, there are two ways:

If you see the hits in Google Analytics, but aren’t sure if they’re reaching your site, they may actually be abusing a Google Analytics interface, without actually loading a page from your site. Details and potential fixes for that issue are explained here:
