Repeated login attempts

    On a daily basis I get dozens of login attempts similar to below all with the same suffix:

    A user with IP address 54.183.69.32 has been locked out from the signing in or using the password recovery form for the following reason: Exceeded the maximum number of login failures which is: 1. The last username they tried to sign in with was: ‘admin’
    User IP: 54.183.69.32
    User hostname: ec2-54-183-69-32.us-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com
    User location: San Jose, United States

    What is the amazonaws address related to please?

  • Hi,

    It is probably an infected AWS (Amazon Web Services) server (possibly an EC2 )that is launching the bot attack on your site.
