Hi there, I’m glad the plugin is working for you.
I’m sorry but it does not allow for this.
I’m not saying it can not be done.
But, it would have to be something customized into the plugin.

Unfortunately, the Plugin isn’t working for me because customers won’t know if the bike size they want is available. This plugin is so far superior to all the other ones I have looked at, so I really want to make it work.

Maybe an easy solution would be if there were three Skedmaker forms on the page – one for each bike size.

Would that be easy to allow?

    Thanks!

It’s possible. But would definitely require some customization of the code. The form would need to have the fields added to select for the bike sizes. Then would have to figure the logic for finding if certain sizes were available at a given time. The database table will also need to be altered to store the selected sizes.

    Ok, I understand.

Would allowing 3 different reservation forms be an easier solution? That would work for me.

    Thank you!

    I noticed these (I like editing ??
    – On the “Add Time Frames” page, appointments is misspelled. Currently reads “appointmetns”.

    – On the “Add Time Frames” page, appointments is abbreviated as “Apts” which is the abbreviation for apartments. Appointments is abbreviated Appt (or Appts).

    – On the “Custom Day Settings” page, the “Last Available” appointments all show up as “12:00 am”. However, the correct/chosen time does show up on the website calendar correctly.

    Ok, one last hope:

Would it be possible to change “Name” to “Bike” on the reservation page (or add a field)? That would allow customers to see which bikes have already been reserved by allowing “Public Content”. It’s not ideal, but it could work.

    Thanks!

    Other glitches I found:

    – When the email option is unchecked on the “Booking Requirements” page, the “Email” box still appears on the website page; however, it is not able to be populated.

    – On the “Booking Options” page, under “Public Content,” it reads “This will make public all names and messages submitted.” however; only what is entered in “Name” is posted on the website (which is good for me ??

Thanks for your notes, I appreciate it.
All of the customizations you want can be done.
If you like, send me a message on the Contact page of my website and we can discuss more thoroughly a project scope and rates.

Ok, I think the simplest solution would be to change the name of the field that says “Name” to say “Bike”. This would allow all customers to see which bikes have already been taken. (This is how I have it set up now, but I bet customers will try to reserve bikes that have already be taken).

Another choice would be to allow my site to have 3-4 separate Skedmaker forms – one for each bike size. I like this option because it would restrict customers from reserving a bike that isn’t actually available (since the countdown feature would prevent that).

The other option is to add another dimension to the countdown, but as you said, this would take a lot of coding.

Can you give me quotes to do the first two options?

    Thanks!

I have come up with something that I think will work for you.
Under Options, I added a “Limit Services” check box.
When you check this, it will only allow for one service to be selected per time frame.
So you can name you bikes, services, etc. and then once a client has taken one, it will not be available to the next client in the same time frame.
You’ll need to repalce 4 files.
I have a zip folder for you to get them here:
    https://www.skedmaker.com/for_amcbean.zip

!!! NOTE: If you have made any modifications to the code in these files, be sure to back them up.
Once you replace the files and upload them. Login to WP admin. Click on Skedmaker and you should see it has added a new database colum. You can now go and select to limit services under Options.
I changed the field name from Select Services to Select Bike:
You can change this to what you want it’s in the file include/_form_confirm
Hope this helps. I tried in on my system and it workd. But please let me know if not. cheers!

    Hi theArab,

Thanks so much for the files! I’m going to try them out now.

Does your Pro Version have the ability to accept payments and/or check the customer’s current “paid status” during their bike reservation process?

For example: if a customer has prepaid, their reservation would be confirmed. If they have not pre-paid, the customer could make the payment and then finalize their reservation.

How much is the Pro Version? What features does it offer?

    Thanks!

Well right now, I’m still finalizing the Pro version. I plan to have it allow for payments.

    Cool!

When will the Pro version be available?

    How much will it cost?

    Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in response.
I hope to have it ready to go in the next couple months.
    Not sure of the price.
It may be something that is compartmentalized and you can just get the components you want to use.

By the way, I’m curious…. did those files I sent over work for you??

    Thread Starter amcbean

    (@amcbean)

    Hi theArab,

One of the files wouldn’t update because of our site’s security rules. We’re waiting to hear back from the website host…

Would it be possible to help you “test” the pro version and get it earlier? We open for business in a couple of weeks.

    Thanks!

We finally changed the files, and it works perfectly! Thanks so much!!

Is is possible to have the services appear in some sort of order? Right now they appear in a mixed order?

How’s the Pro Version coming along?
