How to set first image as featured ONLY if no featured already?
-
I am pro user. Thank you for the plugin. It has proved useful already for setting featured images for posts that previously did not have one set… now I’m trying to do the following:
When creating new posts, I want the plugin to set the first image as the featured image only if there is no featured image already.
The page labeled “Quick Featured Images Pro: Preset Featured Images : Default featured images for future posts” seems to be what I want, but it is a little unclear how the rules work here. Suggestion: The language around how these rules work could be made clearer.
I don’t want to replace the featured image if it is already set, but if it isn’t, I’d like it to be set to the first image.
Currently, I have it set this way, but it doesn’t seem to set the featured image.
- “Activate to automatically overwrite an existing featured image while saving a post” – UNCHECKED
- “Use first content image” – CHECKED
- Default image set if nothing else found
Please advise how to configure to nondestructive and automatically set a featured image.
