The VAT calculation is still wrong. After completing the shipping process, there is not VAT calculated in the VAT summary when I choose bpost shipping.

For example, in my cart I have 1 product (€29,95), the total VAT shown is €5,20. When I complete the entire order and choose for Bpost shipping €4,00, my order summary states:

    Product 1: €29,95
    Shipping: €4,00

    Order total: €33,95 (contains €5,20 VAT 21%)
In my settings, I have VAT calculation on for shipping, so the total VAT should be €8,51 in the order summary

I can email you a screenshot if needed.

Hi, can you please email screenshots please ?

Please note that bpost shipping costs are supposed to be totally neutral towards the Woocommerce VAT settings.
Meaning: whether you decide to apply VAT or not on shipping costs, the price displayed is always (unless bug…) the one you defined in SHM backend.

Yes, the total shipping price should be displayed as in SHM, but when I create an invoice of the order, the VAT calculation is wrong.

I will email you screenshots to specify.

We had a conversation with bpost.

The VAT issue is tricky for multiple reasons.

To summarize; that’s what we’ll try to do with bpost shpping fee:
    1. will stay “not affected” by Woocommerce tax settings: whether you indicate 21% or 6% VAT, whether you apply tax or not on shipping fee… the bpost fee (example here: 4 euros) retrieved from SHM backend will always be considered as “incl. 21% VAT” because that’s in fact how fees in SHM backend are computed
    2. at “display” level we will comply with Woocommerce settings: meaning if you indicate that VAT has to be shown, we will show the VAT on shipping, besides the shipping fee excl. VAT

This will ensure correctness of invoices.

    Hi,

    We published the release 1.0.23.
Now, if the shipping cost is 4€, we decompose it like:
    3.30€ (VAT excl.) + 0.70€ (VAT) = 4.00€ (VAT incl.)
Of course, we follow the rules of the WC settings.

Can you check, and tell us if all VAT calculations are ok ?

    Best regards,

works correct for Belgium. I’ll check for orders outside EU too.
