Hey guys, hopefully a simple question.

I have built a static website using WordPress and the awesome Virtue theme. It includes a blog, with the latest posts showing at the bottom of the static HomePage, with image, title and brief snippet. I think it looks great.

But I’m wondering if there is anyway to add that functionality to other static pages? In my footer, i currently have ‘latest blog posts, but it is just a list of titles. I would like to have the same functionality as the home page.

Is there anyway to do this, that wouldn’t involve a ton of coding? Thanks in advance for any recommendations or suggestions.

  • Hello,

You can try this Plugin for the latest post with image:

Hope that helps you, feel free to ask if there is any other problem.

    Thank you.

    Thanks Sam!

But just to clarify, you saying to use the shortcode, at the bottom of pages, rather than after the page, like on the Homepage? Is that correct?

    Hello,

Yes, you can do so to show the Latest posts from the plugin after the page content. Just install the plugin and get the shortcode. Go to the page editor where you want to add the Latest posts and at the very end of the page editor, after contents, add the shortcode.

But if you are referring to add the same after each page, then instead of adding that separately after each page, you can add the shortcode using a Text widget under your Footer widget for better result. For that you need to go to APPEARANCE > WIDGET > FOOTER WIDGET, add a text widget there and put your shortcode there.

    Thank you.
