    Hi acosim,

    I’m using your fabulous Just Write theme on my first WordPress site. All going well so far until last night when I went to modify some colors in Global Options, (both via Customizer & Appearance). The typical list of basic, links, border, backgrounds, font are showing but when I select one all but ‘basic’, the next menu is unfunctional. The written options are visible but the boxes for changing colors are no longer choosable. There is one color box floating up high but not sure which of the list this corresponds to…

    In previous days I have successfully used these options on my site. Not sure what has happened. I waited a day, hoping it was glitch your end that was due to a change you were making, but unfortunately its the same status all today. Assuming I have done ‘something’ as a newbie… can you please assist.
    FYI I’m using a MAMP local server, so am publishing my updates but I’m not really ‘ou-there’ yet..

    Hi! Please write the following info: Operating System, Browser, Screen Resolution.

    It might be a plugin that is causing all these issues. If you have any plugins activated try and disable/enable them one by one until the issue disappears.

    It’s the first time I hear about these issue and I can’t replicate it on my system.

    For reference, here are the details you requested: Operating System = Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, browser = Safari 9.0.2, Screen Resolution = 2560 x 1440

    Thanks for getting back to me – I did as suggested and deactivated my plugins, one-by-one.

    There does appear to be a guilty candidate! When I deactivated Spider Event Calendar (Version: 1.5.32, Author: https://web-dorado.com/), the Global Options on your JustWrite theme were restored! I wasn’t particularly attached to this Plugin, so I shall look for an alternative.

    Thank you most sincerely for this advice. This has been fabulous learning experience for me – to gain awareness of how easily compatibility of add-ons can affect other functions so broadly! Apart from deactivating Plugins, are there any other nuggets of wisdom/standard steps you suggest to test out when something goes wrong?

    I am glad it worked out! At the moment I don’t have any other advice, it all depends on the errors you encounter ??
