I have several custom post types on my installation. The archive pages for those post types display properly with their translations. However, clicking through to a specific page results in a “Not Found” error.

More specifically, I have a post type called “paint”. The archive page is at /chalk-paint, which works fine in the default language or a translated page. Clicking to one of the paints such as /chalk-paint/burgundy gives the Not Found error. The page is published.

This only happens for translated pages and only for the individual posts, not the archive pages. The default (English) displays fine. but /fr/chalk-paint/burgundy fails.

Accessing the page with index.php?p=[translated post id] just redirects to the rewritten url and gives the same error.

    Hi
How did you create these custom post types?

    I used the CPTUI plugin

I tested with Polylang 1.7.12 and CPT UI 1.1.3 and it works.

Could you test with Polylang and CPT UI only with the other plugins deactivated?
    Does it work?

I did that, resaved the settings for Polylang and it worked! It has to do with the order the plugins are activated, so it took a few trials, but i got the order correct and all plugins are enabled and the translations are working. Thanks!
