Hiding end-date in event list

    Hello,

    the event list shows event dates like:
    16. Januar 2016 – 17. Januar 2016

    I am trying to hide the end-date like:
    16. Januar 2016

    I read the placeholder solution for custom date formatting. It says i have to write the date format like #d #F #Y to show only the start date but it doesnt work for me.

    The date information shows up like:

    #16 #Januar #2016 – #17 #Januar #2016
    instead of
    16 Januar 2016

    Any Solution? Thank you!
