• My problem with “completing steps” is that they do not link up together between quests and quest badges. When I view my a quest badge requirements, and click the show details…this is where my problem lies: the required quest is not a link that will take me to the required quest. Also what am I suppose to do with the connection types that show up in my tools section?

I copied the same exact info for “completing steps” on a new badge and step as of those that come with the plugin when I downloaded it. Same problem exist where they do not create a link and the badge cannot be obtained.

Please Help me with this task.

Can you provide some examples of step types that you feel need links? It sounds like you’re wanting the links to lead to doing the actual action or at least provide some more information.

Just as a very basic example, say you wanted one of the steps to be “log in 5 times”. There’s not much we can link to with that, really, as the user is likely already logged in and know where/how to.

Most of the step types are various activities around the site, and accessible via other means based on interaction with the site itself.

Don’t worry about the connection types menu item. It’s part of what makes BadgeOS work. I believe I have an open issue to hide it, we just haven’t done so yet.

    Hello Mr Beckwith,

In the Badgestack add on: “Community Activity- Select a community trigger” Send a Friend Request

When you view my badge which has a requirement in show details…Required Step 1: “Send a friend request”, this requirement should be a clickable link that sends me to the actual step. The step is to send a friend request. I’ve connected the two together with the post ID’s but after sending a friend request the badge is not earned. Every other requirement: submission and nomination work just fine.

I have a drop down before the post Id that does nothing and is blank? It’s between the post id and the selection of achievement types.

How can I remove the badgeos activity updates in buddypress activity feed?

We’re not going to have anything to link to for “Sending a friend request”. When a user clicks the “add friend” it should get awarded. I don’t believe it needs to be approved first as well, but I would need to double check that.

Not quite following what you mean by you have connected the two together.

Can you provide a screenshot of the mentioned blank dropdown?

There should be a checkbox on the edit screen for your created achievement types that dictate whether or not to post activity posts.
