Remove thick black horizontal dividers Twenty Sixteen

You can remove the dividers using the following code , go to dashboard-> appearence -> editor -> open style.css file

.widget {
    border-top: none;
}

to

but I am still seeing these horizontal bars

Oh just tried again in Edit CSS instead of editing style.css in the Editor and it worked, thank you @codemaniac !
