Thank you, it is working. I somehow thought that that option is only for when we have a 3rd party shortlink plugin installed, like this one for example: Short URL. Can you change the tooltip of the ‘Use shortlinks already installed‘ to be clearer about it, because “Allows for shortened URLs to be used when sharing content if a shortening plugin is installed” seems like it requires a shortening plugin for it to work?

Also, it is possible to make the plugin count the number of shortened shares, while we use the normal permalink structure?

No, it is not possible for now. We will include this too in upcoming releases.

Let me explain. What I would like is to use the full URLs on social networks which doesn’t have a low character limit, but to use the short URLs on Twitter, so that there is more space left for the rest of the tweet.
