“Next page” takes me to archive

Hi!

I have a problem with the next/previous page links.
Whenever I click the number of the page I want to go to (I use the WP-PageNavi plugin by Lester Chan.) it takes me to the archive but it won’t display any pages instead of keeping the current template and just showing me older posts.

I’ve tried disabling the plugin and using the next_post() and previous_post() but that won’t work either.

I am also using “Custom Query String Reloaded” by moshu – but finds it hard to believe that it should have anything to do with my problem.
