Newsletter Pro issue: Cron Email sent even when the email queue is empty
-
Hi,
I currently run Newsletter Pro 4.5.6.1 with WordPress 4.3.2. I use server (linux) cron for scheduling email sending, using local server for SMTP.
Before that version, whenever I send a newsletter, I receive the cron email for every batch until there is no more email in the queue.
Since I’ve upgraded to 4.5.6.1 (whose release notes refers to work done with emails and queues), I continue to receive the cron email even when there is no more email in the queue. In my case, the schedule is set to 5mn so I receive 288 emails a day and the cron log is now full of entry like:
“
0 queued emails have been sent out
0 recurring emails queued
0 autoresponder emails have been sent out.”The emails services we are using are all enforcing a quota based on daily email sent, so for us these emails represent a waste of quota usage.
Could you look into fixing this regression in a near-future release?
Best regards.
R.
