CF7 works but w/spinning arrow and http error 504

  • On submit the forms are working OK i.e. emails are sent and cfdb updates, but the spinning arrow goes forever and the user doesn’t get an indication that the form was submitted successfully.

    Chrome shows that there’s a 504 error on the POST after one minute of timeout. This is strange as the form data is submitted OK.

    BTW When the form isn’t valid the validation error reporting works great upon submitting.

    I suspect it started around the last WP update to 4.4. CF7 version is 4.3.1

    Problem still persists after disabling CF7 Ajax
    When submitting a valid form there’s no confirmation on form posting and form stays filled, while the form is actually submitted OK (emil works)
    Same 504 timeout error on the form POST

    You won’t see the CF7 confirmation message if you disable CF7’s JavaScript – CF7 uses JavaScript to display the message.
