Need suggestions on site to host hundreds of old audio clips

A friend has asked me to build a site to host hundreds of old sermons from the 1950-1980s. He is digitizing these from reel-to-reel so the file size won’t be large for each ~30 min file. Do you know of a theme for this purpose? Is there a specific plug-in you would recommend as an audio player? Would you host these on the server (per terms) or in sound-cloud, onedrive, or other cloud service?
